ULTIMATE CANADA CONFERENCE 2016 A GATHERING OF THE ULTIMATE MINDS
Ultimate Canada – Ottawa November 14th, 2016 – Another successful Ultimate Canada Conference (UCC) presented by VC Ultimate, was held November 11-13, in beautiful and unseasonably warm Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. More than 80 delegates converged from all corners of the country (and south of the boarder) to partake in this professional development opportunity that allows them to network, discuss programming, and shape the future direction of Canadian Ultimate.
Ultimate Canada is very grateful for its sponsors and presenters, who make this event a reality year after year. Representatives from local leagues and provincial organisations benefit annually from this gathering of Ultimate minds under the #UCC2016 umbrella. This year, delegates discussed a wide variety of topics including leading by example, gender equity, and coaching. There were many wonderful sessions, including an inspiring keynote address from Coach Lisa Thomaidis.
As a participant pointed out, “Come for the sport, stay for the community.” The Community will be waiting for you in Montreal, Québec for the 2017 Ultimate Canada Conference!
Ultimate (Frisbee), is one of the fastest growing sports in the country with more than 40,000 players in Canada. The annual Ultimate Canada Conference promotes networking, sharing of ideas, and continuous learning and improvement at all levels of the Canadian sport system.
