Recreation Association of the Public Service of Canada  – (Ottawa, ON) March 2, 2018 –  The RA is pleased to welcome Ultimate Canada to the growing Canadian Sport Community located in the House of Sport.
 
Ultimate Canada has two staff members in the House of Sport marking a shift from a home-based organization structure to a innovative and collaborative office space for this geographically diverse team of employees.
 
“We are very excited to set up a permanent office in Ottawa,” says Danny Saunders, Ultimate Canada Executive Director. “The professional relationships forged within the Canadian Sport Community on-site at the House of Sport will assist our team of employees achieve excellence in all of our activities.”
 
Ultimate is all about fostering relationships in a respectful manner consistent with the Spirit of the Game. Ultimate Canada embodies this principle by working in a cooperative and partnering manner, respecting the expertise, opinions and views of its members. Volunteer-based committees are a vital part of Ultimate Canada’s structure ensuring representation, diversity, and equity within every Ultimate Canada’s events and programs. 
 
“In the past there was a move to home-based office structures. While there was a time to have a virtual office, today high-speed organizations create flexibility for employees to meet, collaborate and support each other,” says Tosha Rhodenizer, RA Chief Executive Officer. “By creating a shared environment, the House of Sport will work to lower costs and create an administrative centre of excellence that is accessible and beneficial to all organizations regardless of their size.”
 
This Canadian Sport Hub, on-site at the RA Centre offers an open concept community complemented by a wide range of services and meeting rooms and supports member organizations by leveraging economies of scale to drive down costs. This is on top of the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded organizations and access health and wellness opportunities for staff members.
 
Through the House of Sport, Ultimate Canada will be able to work closely with several types and sizes of sport organizations, helping to lead, develop and promote excellence and spirit in Canadian Ultimate.
