Volleyball Canada – All three of Canada’s teams at three separate NORCECA events will face Cuba, traditionally a strong volleyball opponent, today in playoff action.
On Thursday, Brazil defeated Canada 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-23) at the 13th Men’s Pan American Cup, a qualifier for the 2019 Lima Pan American Games. Today, Canada’s senior B team plays Cuba in the quarterfinals at 7 pm local time in Veracruz, Mexico.
At the U21 Continental Championship in Havana, Canada’s junior men’s team beat Barbados 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-20) to advance to Friday’s semi against the home-crowd favourites, Cuba. This showdown takes place at 6 pm local/ET.
Also Thursday, Canada advanced to the semi-finals by winning 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-16) over host country Honduras at the NORCECA U18 Women’s Continental Championship. Today’s match against Cuba is at 6 pm local, or 8 pm ET.
