U SPORTS – TORONTO (U SPORTS) – A trio of changes at the top highlight this week’s U SPORTS Top 10 rankings.

The Alberta Golden Bears, Alberta Pandas and UBC Thunderbirds are the new No.1-ranked teams in men’s wrestling, women’s hockey and women’s volleyball, respectively.

Alberta is ranked at the top of the men’s wrestling poll for the first time in two years, after Brock previously held the top spot for 22 consecutive weeks dating back to Week 1 of the 2015-16 season (Nov. 24, 2015).

Meanwhile, the Pandas women’s hockey team claimed No.1 in the country after a weekend road split at Lethbridge, taking over from UBC who lost back-to-back games at home to Saskatchewan.

In women’s volleyball, the defending U SPORTS champion Thunderbirds become the team to beat for the first time since they led the Top 10 throughout the entire 2013-14 season.

In other U SPORTS rankings, Carleton (men’s basketball), Regina (women’s basketball), UBC (men’s and women’s swimming), Alberta (men’s hockey), Trinity Western (men’s volleyball) and Brock (women’s wrestling) all remain national leaders for another week.
