Sport for Life Society – Greetings,

We have information for you regarding two physical literacy webinars – one past, and one upcoming.

First, we delivered a webinar on June 16 titled “Integrating Physical Literacy into Summer Camps” that outlined ways to improve the quality of your summer camp programs.

On July 6, from 10:30-11:30 am EST, we’re offering a follow-up webinar that will build on the concept of physical literacy as it relates to summer camps. This presentation will provide you with practical ideas and activities to help you integrate the physical literacy components of competence, confidence, motivation and knowledge into your daily camp activities. This webinar, “Creating a Physical Literacy-enriched Summer Camp Environment,” will be delivered by Jennie Petersen, YMCA Calgary’s General Manager of Wellness Programs, and Lea Wiens, Sport for Life’s Director of Engagement.

The webinar is open to everyone but is targeted specifically at summer camp supervisors and leaders.  In addition to the activities we will provide ideas on how to keep the physical literacy theme fresh and fun throughout the summer!

This presentation will be approximately 60 minutes with additional time left for questions and discussion. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about how to join the webinar. This webinar is supported by the RBC Learn to Play Project and Shape Up

We encourage interaction during the webinars via the chat box, as well as discussion before and after the webinar on the Sport for Life Communities Facebook page.
