True Sport Foundation – (Ottawa, Ontario – August 9, 2017) – The True Sport Foundation (TSF) is pleased to offer national sport organizations (NSOs) and multi-sport organizations (MSOs) access to the Tariff Relief Program, which provides an opportunity to save money on import duty taxes for eligible purchases.

Internationally recognized NSOs or MSOs can save on goods imported into Canada for the purposes of training for, or competing in, amateur competitions of international calibre.

Formerly managed by the Canada Games Council, TSF administers the program and charges an administration fee between five and seven per cent, as determined by the Canadian value of the imported goods. Import duty taxes can range from 7.5 per cent to 23.1 per cent, and are applied on the value of goods imported from countries other than the United States.

The Tariff Relief Program is regulated by the Government of Canada by means of a memorandum with the Canada Border Services Agency.
