Swim Nova Scotia – Edmonton (AB)- Nova Scotia’s top swimmers began competing at the Canadian Swimming Trials in Edmonton, Alberta at the Kinsmen Sports Centre today through Sunday.

Top results from today included Halifax Trojan Danial Murphy who finished 4th in the PARA Men’s S5 200m Freestyle with a time of 3:12.33 and Alec Karlsen who finished 15th in the Men’s 400m Individual Medley with a 4:33.24.

This is Swimming Canada’s flagship event of this year’s swimming season, with Canada’s best swimmers racing to represent the country at the Pan Pacific Championships this summer in Tokyo and the Pan Pacific Para Swimming Championships in Cairns, Australia.

In total, approximately 400 swimmers from 105 clubs are competing from across Canada with visiting competitors from France, Peru, Thailand, Singapore, Scotland and the United States.

Prelims begin at 10:00am and finals begin at 6:00pm local time daily.
