Nova Scotia Golf Association – Bogota, COL – Ally Tidcombe is sitting T14 after two rounds at the Colombian Open in Bogota. The former Ken-Wo member is in contention heading into the weekend after carding a -3 par 68 today and is currently 5 under for the tournament.

Tidcombe the 2014 NSGA Men’s Amateur Champion, carded 3 birdies and 15 pars during today’s second round.

Rain made the course difficult for the first 12 or 13 holes and playing the harder back nine first was definitely tough. Getting myself in a position to make stress free pars was my goal for today and I managed to make a couple of birdies on my inward nine. I’m in good position and looking forward to making some putts tomorrow and allowing myself a chance to contend on Sunday.” said Tidcombe via text message after his round today.

Baddeck native and 2006 NSGA Men’s Amateur Champion, Peter Campbell is also competing in the field and made the cut after carding a 73 during the first round and 69 (-2) during today’s second round.

Campbell is currently T55 with a two day total of 142. He will be looking to move up the leaderboard this weekend.
