Canadian Olympic Committee  – OTTAWA — On behalf of 36 million Canadians from coast to coast to coast, the Government of Canada will be hosting more than 250 Canadian athletes and coaches in Ottawa and Gatineau for a one-day celebration, commemorating their success at the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The celebration begins with morning community events with local students and will conclude with an official visit to Parliament Hill.

Team Canada athletes will share their Olympic and Paralympic experience with local students and encourage them to be active through various sport demonstrations.

Athletes and coaches will be recognized for their accomplishments at the Rio 2016 Games by all Members of Parliament in the House of Commons. A reception to follow in the Reading Room (237-C).

Select athletes and coaches will be available for scrums following the tribute.
