Volleyball Canada – Volleyball Canada is pleased to announce the 14-man roster for this weekend’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL) in Ottawa, Ontario.

“After two weekends abroad, we are very excited to play in Canada in front of our home fans,” said head coach Stephane Antiga. “The players are looking forward to competing in Ottawa and are prepared to continue our strong Volleyball Nations League campaign.”

Canada began VNL in Poland, falling to Russia and Poland, but picking up a 3-0 win over Korea.  Last weekend in Argentina, Canada had a stellar streak – beating Italy, Argentina and Iran.

This weekend, Canada plays Australia, Germany and the US at the Arena at TD Place in Lansdowne Park, Ottawa.

The Canadian roster features six 2016 Olympians, including new additions in Ottawa – Jay Blankenau and Gavin Schmitt.

About Volleyball Nations League
In both the men’s and women’s leagues, the 16 teams in each gender will compete first in round robin format. With a total of 260 matches played in the tournament, each team will play a minimum of 15 matches and each core nation will host at least one pool. There will be one combined standings table across all pools for each gender. In the men’s and women’s competition, the top five teams of the standings will join the hosts for the finals.  #VNL
