Synchro Canada – Ottawa, June 20, 2017 — Canada’s newest duet partners have been named by Synchro Canada for the upcoming 2017 FINA World Championships in July. Jacqueline Simoneau, 20, Montreal, QC and Claudia Holzner, 23 Calgary, AB will be Canada’s entry. They train together at the Centre of Excellence with coach Leslie Sproule.

The two will debut their Technical and Free Routines at the 2017 Synchro America Open, taking place at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in Long Island, New York, June 21-24, 2017.

Simoneau competed in Duet at the 2016 Olympic Summer Games with her previous partner Karine Thomas. Holzner joined the National Team in 2013 and competed at two FINA World Championships, in addition to winning gold in the team event at the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games.

The 2017 FINA World Championships will take place July 14-30, 2017 in Budapest, Hungary.
