Synchro BC – BURNABY, May 8, 2018 – Synchro BC announced Jennifer Keith as its new Executive Director. Jennifer has been with Synchro BC as Interim Executive Director since March 2017 and assumes the permanent Executive Director position effective immediately.

Keith’s passion is to create opportunities to positively shape the lives of young people through sport, while also creating pathways for athletic success that align with Long Term Athlete Development. Her emphasis on values based sport is influencing the synchronized swimming world and changing how we deliver our programs in BC.

Keith, from New Westminster, has 20 years of experience working in the Canadian sports sector. She was previously the Executive Director for Soccer New Brunswick, has worked for the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, and has been working as a facilitator to promote and nurture Club Excellence – a national certification program that recognizes sport organizations that invest in building capacity to meet and exceed a basic set of operating principles.

In addition to a Commerce degree in Marketing and a post-graduate diploma in Sports Administration, Keith’s expertise in sport governance, policy and procedure development, strategic planning, financial operations, funding and partnership development is a tremendous asset to Synchro BC.

The British Columbia Amateur Synchronized Swimming Association (Synchro BC) governs the sport of Synchronized Swimming in our province, providing opportunities for athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers. Our programs include a wide range of participation, recreational, and competitive levels for participants of all ages, genders, and skill levels. Synchronized swimming has been an organized sport in BC since 1952 and Synchro BC was registered as a not-for-profit organization in 1980.
