Alpine Canada – Mont-Tremblant, QC (March 20, 2017) – From March 25 to March 28, 2017, Mont-Tremblant, QC will host the Sports Experts Canadian Championship races for giant slalom and slalom. Athletes from across Canada, including members of the Canadian national team and development team, will race for the Canadian Champion title in the tech events.
 
As part of the Canadian Championships, Alpine Canada will host an evening event to honour the winners of the 2017 Canadian Ski Racing Awards presented by Helly Hansen. Winners in the following categories will be honoured:
  • Alpine Athlete of the Year: Erik Guay & Valérie Grenier
  • Para-Alpine Athlete of the Year: Mac Marcoux (Guide: Jack Leitch), Alana Ramsay
  • Ski Cross Athlete of the Year: Brady Leman & Marielle Thompson
  • Coach of the Year (senior) – Stanley Hayer
  • Coach of the Year (grassroots) – Jenn Warren
  • Volunteer of the Year – Andy Wolf
  • Club of the Year – Club de Ski Bromont
  • Resort of the Year – Nakiska
  • Buiilder of the Year – Bruce Goldsmith
  • Minogue Award of Excellence – Ned Ireland
