Sport Law & Strategy Group (SL&SG) – September 19, 2018 – Toronto – The Sport Law & Strategy Group (SL&SG) is hosting its next webinar on Wednesday, September 26, titled Team Travel: Preparing for Risks Across Borders. The webinar will discuss risks related to international travel and explore best practices. Existing approaches to mitigating travel risks indicate that more can be done to ensure the safety and well-being of athletes, coaches and mission staff when travelling abroad.

Dina Bell-Laroche, Partner with the Sport Law & Strategy Group and Jason Robinson, an Associate with the Sport Law & Strategy Group, will share their industry learnings and risk management expertise as it relates to international team travel.  Recent events, such as the early return of Canada Soccer’s Women’s U-17 National Team and officials from Nicaragua due to heightened civil unrest, reflect an increase in the number of incidents involving Canadian teams travelling outside of Canada for events and training camps.
