Soccer Nova Scotia – Soccer Nova Scotia’s Director of Coaching Mike Whyatt hosts bi-weekly show, to be distributed to members

HALIFAX (October 12, 2016) – Soccer Nova Scotia, the governing body of Soccer in Nova Scotia, launched ‘You Beauty!’ a new podcast series. Soccer Nova Scotia’s Director of Coaching and podcast host Mike Whyatt launched ‘You Beauty!’ as another information sharing platform to ensure membership are up-to-date on the latest and most accurate soccer news and opportunities happening nationally and within the province.

“This show has given us a new voice to inform our members and educate our community about the important innovations and trends happening within the soccer community,” says Mike Whyatt, Director of Coaching at Soccer Nova Scotia. “We will cover many topics ranging from coaching workshops, events, clinics camps, policy change and information sharing.”

The bi-weekly podcast series will feature an exchange of ideas from provincial to national leaders and home-grown heroes to global stars. It will take listeners behind the scenes of Soccer in Nova Scotia.

Upcoming ‘You Beauty!’ episodes include:

  •          Podcast Episode #1:  Listen to Soccer Nova Scotia’s Director of Coaching Mike Whyatt and Canada Soccer’s Director of Development – Jason deVos talk about topics ranging from Jason’s role with Canada Soccer Association(CSA), the priorities for CSA and the need to define success. for youth soccer.
  •          Podcast Episode #2: Part 2 with Jason deVos discussing the modern coach, the landscape of coaching and how it differs from a decade ago. The continued need to provide trained coaches for our youth players.
  •          Podcast Episode #3: Part 3 with Jason deVos will focus on Jason’s playing experience from a youth player in London, Ontario to his success as a professional and captain of the Canadian National team.

Podcast host Mike Whyatt says, “We wanted to reach a wider audience and get the community talking about soccer. It gives us an opportunity to speak directly to the membership and inform them on the development, local news or events and celebrating people who have past and present success. It is essential that we get the wider sport community to share and subscribe through many online and social media platforms.”
