Nova Scotia Golf Association – Shaun Margeson won the 2017 COBRA PUMA Championship at Ken Wo Golf Club. The 18-year-old Fall River native, who plays at Ashburn, came from behind today to successfully defend his title. Margeson will be heading to the University of Costal Georgia in Brunswick, GA this fall.
 
Finishing tied for second were third round leader Jakob Wamboldt from Northumberland Links and John Mosher from Chester. Mosher fired 73 and Wamboldt fired a 76 during the final round and they finished with four day total of 289.
 
Mosher also won the Junvenile division (U17) over Ewan Kelly Jr from Ashburn by 4 strokes
 
Meghan McLean of the Ken Wo Golf Club added a second provincial junior championship to her resume today. This win caps off an amazing junior career for the 18 year old from Port Williams native, she will begin her college career this fall as a member of the Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, CT. Mclean fired a 74 during the final round to end the tournament with a four day total of 293.
 
Finishing 13 strokes behind her older sister, Heather McLean carded an 80 during the final round to finish with a 306. Haley Baker from Ashburn finished third overall with a score of 326.

Margeson, Wamboldt and Mosher will represent Nova Scotia at the 2017 Canadian Junior Boys Championship being held at the Cataraqui Golf Club in Kingston, ON from July 31-Aug 03. 

 

The McLean sisters and Haley Baker will be representing Nova Scotia at the 2017 Canadian Junior Girls Championship which will be held at the Camelot Golf Club in Cumberland, ON from Aug 1-Aug 04.
