Synchro Canada – Ottawa, March 6, 2018 – Fourteen Canadian athletes from the Regional Training Centre – Ontario will take part in the first leg of the 2018 FINA Artistic Swimming World Series, to be held in Paris, France, on March 9-11.
Swimmers and coaches alike are eagerly looking forward to this competition. “We’re all so excited to be participating this year in the French Open,” said Olivia Jensen-Large, third year RTC member. “Not only is competing in a World Series as a Junior team going to be a fantastic opportunity to improve our international competition skills, it’s also going to be so much fun to experience Paris for a week with all of my teammates!”
Jennifer Koptie, RTC’s Head Coach, shares her enthusiasm. “The RTC is thrilled and honoured to be representing Canada at the first World Series event of the competitive season! We have a very talented group of Junior athletes who have been working incredibly hard and will be participating in ALL four of the team events as well as duet and solo. Having the opportunity to compete against the world’s best seniors, with our junior program, will be challenging as well as extremely motivating!”
