Round 2 Recap of the MCT Insurance Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship
Nova Scotia Golf Association -Hartlen Point Forces Golf Club showed it’s true colours today during the second round of the MCT Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship.Tough playing conditions allowed only the most resilient competitors to break 80, as the wind, rain, and fog blew in off the Atlantic.
Round 2 – Bobby Marriot teeing of #1
Bobby Marriott is looking to capture his first Mid-Amateur title tomorrow. The Granite Spring’s member has the lead heading into the final round of the 2018 MCT Men’s Mid-Amateur. He fired a five-over par 76 and has a two-day total of 145.
Defending champion Trevor Chow, carded a four-over par 75 today and is currently one-shot back from Marriott. He will be looking to claim his fourth Mid-Amateur title tomorrow.
Sitting tied for third, with two-day totals of 147 are Sean Stuart and Stuart Lenehan. The 2016 Mid-Amateur Champion, Sean Stuart, fired a three-over par 74 which was the low round of the day. While Lenehan, from Grandview, and the 2015 Mid-Amateur Champion, carded a five-over par 76 today.
Heading into tomorrow’s final round, competitors will be playing for three spots to represent Nova Scotia at the Canadian Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship at Victoria Golf Club in Victoria, B.C. For more information, please CLICK HERE
