INNOVATION AND INCLUSION: Empowering Diversity!

How can we embrace diversity as an opportunity to create a more powerful sport system in Canada? Delegates at this year’s conference will examine how to engage a collective, how to motivate underrepresented groups, and share best practices in celebrating diversity and fostering a culture of inclusion in sport. “Our goal is to create a sport environment where every participant can reach their full potential,” said Lorraine Lafrenière, Chief Executive Officer of the CAC. “I am looking forward to engaging with conference delegates on how we can collectively work together to become a more diverse and inclusive community.”

Confirmed keynote speakers include: Stacey Allaster, USTA Chief Executive for Professional Coaching; Vikram Vij, restauranteur and entrepreneur; and Strive4, featuring Canadian soccer stars Christine Sinclair, Karina LeBlanc, Diana Matheson, and Rhian Wilkinson. The conference program offers learning opportunities that can be applied on and off the field of play. “Food is like sport. It brings people together no matter what their differences, no matter where their allegiances lie. I’m honoured to be participating in this event, which will do even more to bring people together and promote healthy leadership in the future,” said Mr. Vij.
