Rowing Canada Aviron – We are pleased to report that as of today the RCA Web Registration System is live and updated so programs can now be set up for the new registration year, April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019. Thank you for your patience while we were in the process of programming and testing to ensure the system was functioning properly.
RCA Online Waiver
Along with the launch of the revised category system, the RCA Online Waiver is now in place.  This Waiver must be acknowledged by the participant (if over the age of majority in their province) or the participant’s parent or legal guardian (if under the age of majority in the relevant province).  The Waiver only needs to be completed once a year and it  may reduce the need for your Club to provide or collect waivers as these RCA waivers cover the participation of RCA Registered Participants in all programs, events and activities offered through our Member Organizations.  Member Organizations may still choose to add their own waivers or other documents.
If you have any questions about the Online Waiver, please contact rca@rowingcanada.org and one of our team will respond.
Regatta Central Onboarding Taking Place in Stages
This week, the “Duelling Over a Grand” Regatta (Victoria City Rowing Club) and the “Brentwood Regatta” will officially be the first regattas to be entered in the new RegattaCentral platform.  The Team will work with Regatta organizers to assist through the onboarding process and to ensure all systems are working as they should. We will assist these two Regattas first and then we will work with other Regattas in a phased approach that is in order of priority.  After the first few weeks and dealing with issues that might arise with the launch of a new platform, we will open it up to all of our regattas.  We thank Greg Sedun from Victoria City Rowing Club and Debbie Sage from Brentwood College School for being “first in” and look forward to working with them in the days ahead.
We will host one more online training session in mid-April for Regatta and Event Organizers to go through the system and understand how it works.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

Thank you,

Sid Murdoch
