Alpine Canada – Calgary, Alta. (March 18, 2017) – Calgary’s Alana Ramsay closes out the 2016-17 para-alpine World Cup season claiming her second Crystal Globe. After winning the overall downhill title earlier this week in PyeongChang (KOR), Ramsay went on to clinch the slalom Crystal Globe as well. She also finished on the podium in the overall rankings with a third-place result.

The last race of the para-alpine World Cup season was contested today as the team ran a slalom race. Two-time Crystal Globe winner, Ramsay, finished in fifth-place the slalom. Teammates Erin Latimer and Mel Pemble both finished in the top ten with an eighth-place and ninth-place finish respectively.

On the men’s side, Mac Marcoux and guide Jack Leitch, finished just off the podium in fourth-place. In the standing category, Bradyon Luscombe had the best Canadian finish of the day with a 12th-place finish and the young Alexis Guimond finished right behind him in 13th-place.
