WHAT: The Ontario Native Volleyball Invitational (ONVI), developed by ISWO, brings together teams from across Ontario to compete in a friendly, yet competitive invitational style tournament. Indigenous youth of high school age (between the ages of 14-18) travel with their teams and family members to compete and have fun.

The ONVI is also an identifier for participation in the upcoming 2020 North American Indigenous Games, set to take place this July in Halifax, Nova Scotia. ISWO staff and Team Ontario volunteers and coaches will be on-site to scout talent and identify athletes to make up Team Ontario, officially representing the province at one of the largest sporting and cultural events for Indigenous youth, in Turtle Island (North America).

The 2020 ONVI will be the fifth edition of this tournament, and is scheduled to take place in London, Ontario from Friday, February 21 to Sunday, February 23. The 2020 ONVI includes a community feast on Saturday evening for participants, coaching staff and volunteers, and will feature an opening ceremony and cultural performances.
