Squash Canada – OTTAWA, ON, 2017 – Squash Canada is pleased to announce that Carol Stewart has joined its Board of Directors as a Director at Large. Ms. Stewart will serve as Director for a two-year term.

Carol’s experience as a senior leader and marketing professional, combined with her excellent track record in driving business results, cultivating positive cultures, and developing strong management teams will prove invaluable. The Board is committed to delivering on our strategic objectives, on increasing our financial sustainability and on focusing our vision on long term high performance success.  Carol will be a tremendous asset in achieving our goals.”   

Carol is an experienced business executive with more than 15 years of experience developing and driving organizational strategy success and is a storied marketing professional, with extensive knowledge in leading and developing brands. She is President and CEO of Kellogg Canada and a member of both the North American and Global Leadership Teams within the Kellogg Company. She has been instrumental in building successful Canadian-wide relationships with retailers and creating a culture of accountable and responsible departments, company-wide. Through her previous tenures as Senior Director Marketing Communications for Dell Canada and Vice President Marketing for Kellogg Canada, Stewart brings with her a vast knowledge of brand development which will be instrumental as Squash Canada looks to increase awareness of the sport across the country while fostering opportunities for passion, pride and performance at all levels. 

“It is evident from Squash Canada’s new strategic direction that there is a desire to clearly identify and increase the value proposition of Squash Canada to its members and to the sport of squash”, said Stewart.  “I am hopeful that my passion for the game of squash and the business skills I have acquired over the years be will an asset as Squash Canada starts to rebrand itself for the future.  I am honored and excited to be part of this journey.”
Carol is a sport enthusiast who loves squash, and even holds a national accolade to her name.  Along with her partner, Diane Naughton, Stewart captured the 2014 Canadian Doubles Squash championship title in her age group.
