Powerlifting Athlete Suspended for Presence of Testosterone
Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport – (Ottawa, Ontario – September 25, 2018) – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) announced today that Thomas Basso, a powerlifting athlete, received a four-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s urine sample, collected during in-competition doping control on February 11, 2018, revealed the presence of testosterone, a prohibited anabolic agent.
