CCES – (Ottawa, Ontario – June 28, 2017) – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) announced today that, Meana Franco, a powerlifting athlete, received a four-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s urine sample, collected during in-competition doping control on March 13, 2017, revealed the presence of Oxandrolone, SARM LGD-4033, SARM S-22, and GW501516.

In response to the CCES’ notification of the adverse analytical finding, Ms. Franco admitted the violation in a timely fashion (in accordance with CADP Rule 10.11.2), waived her right to a hearing and accepted a sanction of four years ineligibility from sport, terminating on March 13, 2021.
