Polar Bear Plunge: Take the plunge in support of Special Olympics Québec
Special Olympics Québec – Montreal, February 17, 2017 – For an 10th consecutive year, the Law Enforcement Torch Run police officers are inviting the population to take the Polar Bear Plunge benefitting Special Olympics Québec on Saturday, February 18, 2017. The courageous participants, among them several police officers, Special Olympics volunteers and partners will take the plunge at the event’s new location Club de Canoë de Lachine.
The event will begin at 1 p.m. where participants will be invited to jump into ice water.
A prize will also be given to the person with the most original costume!
Heated facilities and hot broth offered by la Caisse Desjardins des policiers et policières will be provided to allow participants to change into dry clothes and get over the excitement. Each participant will be given a Polar Bear Plunge souvenir. Food, hot beverages and promotional items will be available on site.
