Podium Results for Ski Cross and Para-Alpine!
Alpine Canada – In the final race of the Cross Alps Tour, Georgia Simmerling, battled all day to hit the podium again, finishing in third-place. Simmerling skied well all day, making great passes and holding down leading runs.
The para-alpine season kicked off in Kuhtai, AUT with a tech series including two giant slalom races and two slalom races. Mac Marcoux (Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) and guide, Jack Leitch (Calgary, Alta.) led the team’s performance capturing two first-place finishes, one in giant slalom and one in slalom.
Thursday marked the second-last race of the Cross Alps Tour and Canada Ski Cross was back on the podium. On the Innichen, ITA track, Georgia Simmerling found her form and captured second-place, her first podium of the season.
