Physical Literacy for Communities, BC Initiative
Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council (ISPARC) – Funded through the Active People, Active Places, BC Physical Activity Strategy, the Sport for Life Society is delivering the Physical Literacy for Communities BC Initiative (PL4C-BC) in selected communities across the province. The purpose of the PL4C-BC Initiative is to improve the development of physical literacy through a multi-sector community approach, leading to increased physical activity which positively impacts the health and well-being of British Columbians. The project runs from March 2018 to February 2021 and provides up to two years of support to seventeen BC applicant communities. The first intake was completed in early 2018.
The PL4C-BC Initiative provides services and funds to the value of up to $50,000 over a two-year period, including education, training and mentorship. In 2019 there will be the opportunity for 8 additional BC applicants to join the current 9 selected toward the collaborative design and multi-sector development of physical literacy.

Deadline for submission of applications is January 15, 2019
