Nova Scotia Golf Association – Golfers will compete at Paragon Golf and Country Club for the chance to win the Provincial Four Ball.

Paragon Golf and Country Club in Kingston is set to host the 2016 NSGA Men’s Four Ball Championship on June 18-19.  The course is always an excellent test of golf for the competitors. Paragon Golf and Country Club is no stranger to hosting the NSGA Four Ball. They hosted the Four Ball in 2013 which ended in a three way tie for first; Chris Evans and Sean Stuart, Gerry and Chad MacMillan, and Les and Gary Smith all with a two day total of 136 (-6). Gerry and Chad were victorious in the playoff hole, becoming the first father-son duo to win the Men’s Four Ball in NSGA history.

The layout of the course calls for accurate drives, which is sure to make for a competitive weekend of golf. There is a mixture of tree-lined fairways with tight greens as well as wide open fairways with accommodating greens. Water hazards and sand traps add to the golfing experience as you wind your way through the course.  Scenic holes and rolling hills make for a picturesque course that will make for a very fun weekend in Kingston.

Teams to watch throughout the tournament include Ryan Dixon and Jody Swim from River Hills Golf &Country Club. Both players are off to a strong start in the 2016 NSGA Player of the Year series and tied for 5th in the 2015 Four Ball with a 67 (-4). Another team to keep an eye on is the returning champions Wayne O’Donnell (Oakfield G & CC) and Tom Cameron (Gage Golf & Curling). O’ Donnell and Cameron captured the 2015 Men’s Four Ball Championship at Clare Golf & Country Club shooting a 65 (-6). The home course favourites and past champions Chad and Gerry MacMillan who are always in contention.
