Ontario Soccer Association – The first of nearly 20 event speakers will begin being announced on Tuesday

November 21, 2016

Vaughan, Ontario – The Ontario Soccer Association has announced that tickets for the Ontario Soccer Summit 2017 are now on sale and event speakers will begin being announced this week.

“We’ve targeted a great list of keynote speakers, presenters and subject content experts for the 2017 event,” said Johnny Misley, Executive Director of the Ontario Soccer Association. “The 2017 Ontario Soccer Summit should attract a wide range of soccer leaders from around the province as we provide them with a top class personal and professional development weekend.”

The Ontario Soccer Summit drew over 500 attendees in 2016, with notable speakers coming from around the world to share their expertise. The 2017 event roster of nearly 20 event speakers, presenters and subject content experts greatly exceeds the number in last year’s line-up.

“Once again the OSA staff has scoured the globe to find the foremost experts in their field and bring them to Ontario and continue the development we are seeing across all levels of the game in Ontario,” said Gary Miller, Technical Director of the OSA.

The host venue for the Ontario Soccer Summit 2017 will be the Oshawa Civic Recreation Complex and Trent University (Durham Campus).

The Oshawa Civic Centre boasts an international FIFA size 100 metre x 70 metre artificial turf playing field that can be configured into two or four fields for on-field learning.

Trent University, which is steps from the Oshawa Civic Centre, will offer an intimate setting, which is optimal for the immersive Ontario Soccer Summit learning experience.

Early bird pricing will be available until January 6, 2017, so attendees are encouraged to act quickly to secure the best pricing.

There are reduced rates for those booking groups of 5-20 attendees and even greater discounts for those booking 20 or more.

Also, the  2017 event will feature reduced pricing for youth (under 18 years of age) attendees. In addition, Female Mentorship Program participants, Learning Facilitators and District Administrators all receive special pricing.
