Oct. 31, 2017

Vaughan, ON – Ontario Soccer announced today that it will be hosting the 2018 Ontario Soccer Summit at Seneca College, Newnham Campus, from March 2-4, 2018.

The Summit, which provides development opportunities for coaches, match officials and soccer leaders across Ontario, had a record attendance in 2017, with presenters coming from around the world to share their expertise.

Early bird tickets are now on sale. Priced at $155 for three-days of access, they are considered the best value for an event of this magnitude, compared to anywhere in North America. As such, only 100 early bird tickets will be made available for the 2018 Ontario Soccer Summit.

“The Ontario Soccer Summit continues to grow and improve, year over year and is now attracting attendees from all of Ontario, across Canada and abroad,” said Johnny Misley, Ontario Soccer Executive Director. “Looked upon as one of our flagship annual events, the Ontario Soccer Summit is the premier personal and professional development opportunity for soccer leaders – from a learning perspective as well as a networking event.”

Newnham Campus is one of the largest college campuses in Canada. The Seneca Sports Centre located at the Newnham Campus includes a triple gymnasium and can seat up to 1,000 spectators.

It also has a domed soccer field for on-field learning.

The event hotel, the Westin Prince in Toronto, is only minutes from the 2018 Ontario Soccer Summit location and will become a hub of activity for the weekend, as attendees mingle with speakers and Summit-goers alike.

“Ontario Soccer prides itself on delivering to our members a crop of presenters that are not only engaging and exciting but are considered cutting edge in their field,” said Gary Miller, Ontario Soccer Technical Director. “We’re excited to begin to share with you the full list of keynote speakers, presenters and big names from all over the world.”

The 2018 Ontario Soccer Summit will begin announcing speakers on Nov. 13.

In addition, as part of this marquee event, the Ontario Soccer Summit will also play host to the Club Excellence Awards and will feature panel discussions with the selected presenters.

The Ontario Soccer Summit has shown to be an excellent platform for sporting vendors, from across the region, to connect with members of the soccer community.

“The Ontario Soccer Summit partners have told us that our event is unlike any other in the way that we give them access to engage our attendees throughout the weekend to create powerful brand connections,” said Bjorn Osieck, Ontario Soccer Director of Business Development. “We are looking forward to building on that unique value proposition with the help from our district partner and co-host the North York Soccer Association in 2018 and beyond.”
