Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton – Gibson to hold media conference with young athletes, coaches, Feb. 26 at 11:30 a.m.

CALGARY—Have we failed a generation of youth when it comes to sport?

With too much focus on winning and early specialization, Duff Gibson certainly believes so. As a result the Olympic skeleton champion is set to launch a new, truly unique multi-sport program in Calgary that will put the fun back in sport at the grassroots level, while focusing on learning proper techniques.

A multi-sport athlete himself, Gibson and a team of Calgary-based Olympic coaches who recently completed a successful pilot project of their new initiative, will officially launch the program on Friday, February 26 at 11:30 a.m. at Webber Academy School.

Following a brief introduction and background to the creation of his youth-focused sport initiative, Gibson and his team of specialized coaches will give media a sneak peak into the multi-sport program while putting kids through a series of drills.
