Nova Scotia Golf Association – Each year over 100 volunteers support the Nova Scotia Golf Association (NSGA) and member clubs across the province. The NSGA has created a program that recognizes the contributions made by the volunteers. The NSGA Provincial Volunteer of the Year awards are one way that we recognize those that have gone above and beyond to contribute to the growth and promotion of golf in Nova Scotia.

NSGA Provincial Volunteer of the Year Award has been designed to recognize and honour a NSGA and Club Volunteers who has demonstrated outstanding performance and contributions to support the game.  The NSGA Volunteer of the Year will have played an instrumental role in promoting the growth and development of amateur golf throughout Nova Scotia while maintaining and preserving the integrity and traditions of the game.

Criteria/Eligibility

• Active member and volunteer of the NSGA for more than 3 consecutive years.
• Nominee shall have made a significant contribution towards increasing growing participation and promoting the game in Nova Scotia.
• Nominee will have demonstrated dedication to the enhancement of golf in areas such as education, administration as well as NSGA programs and services.
• Nominee must not have won this award in the past 5 years.

All nominations must be received by the NSGA Office on or before August 1, 2016 at 4:00pm.  Successful applicants will be honoured during the NSGA Annual General Meeting on Saturday, Oct 1, 2016 in Halifax.
