Notice from Rowing Canada Aviron
Rowing Canada Aviron – Donna Atkinson, Chief Executive Officer of Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA), has notified the Board of Directors that she will be stepping down from her role following next year’s Semi-Annual Meeting in January 2017. Atkinson joined RCA in 2009.
“This was a difficult decision for me to make,” said Atkinson. “I have truly enjoyed my time with RCA and feel incredibly fortunate to have been a part of such a phenomenal team of dedicated staff and passionate, committed volunteers. I look forward to watching the sport of rowing continue to grow across the country.”
“On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Donna for her many years of service and commitment to Rowing Canada Aviron,” said Mike Walker, President, RCA. “I look forward to continuing our work together through what will be a busy and exciting year for Canadian rowing, highlighted by this summer’s Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
The Board of Directors will be deciding later this spring its plans for the process of selecting a new Chief Executive Officer.
