North Winnipeg Nomads Travel To Indiana
Football Manitoba – WINNIPEG, MB – Media members are advised The North Winnipeg Nomads Football Club is proud to announce that they will be traveling to Mooresville Indiana November 2017 for its girls’ teams to play against the Indiana Girls Tackle Football League.
The Nomad’s girls play in the Manitoba Girls Football Association (MGFA). A league that was founded in 2011. The Nomads joined the league in 2012 and competes in both the Sr and Jr division. In 2017, both Nomads girls’ teams were provincial finalist. The girls play 6 a side tackle football.
The Indiana Girls football league was founded in 2016 and plays 8 a side football. The Nomads are looking forward to learning and playing mixed rules from both leagues. Two games will take place on November 18, 2017, JR age will be Girls grades 5-8 and SR will be grades 9-12.
Although players from the Nomads Girls programs have travelled down south twice in the past, this will be the first time that instead of it being a Showcase game where they play against other MGFA players, this will be the first games against American players.
