Volleyball Canada – Three NORCECA events with Canadian teams participating are now in full swing.

Canada’s senior B men’s team began the Men’s Pan American Cup yesterday defeating Colombia 3-1 (25-19, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22) in pool B at the Arena Cordoba in Cordoba, Mexico.

The top five finishers from this event will earn spots in next year’s Pan Am Games in Peru.  Today, the team faces Dominican Republic at 5 pm local (6 pm Eastern time).
 
At the U21 Men’s Continental Championships in Havana, Cuba, the Canadian teamswept Haiti 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-18) on Monday and then Nicaragua yesterday (25-16, 25-20, 25-11). Today they will face their toughest opponent yet, the United States, who are the defending champions, at 4 pm local time. Teams are competing for World Championship qualification.
 
The U18 Women’s team is also playing a NORCECA Continental Championship, but in Honduras. The Canadian youth team was defeated by Cuba 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-20) and Dominican Republic 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-19) so far in pool play, and face Costa Rica today at 2 local; 4 pm Eastern time.
