Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame – Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame Nominations Deadline January 31^st, 2016. Nominate a Nova Scotia Sport Hero! 
 
Halifax, N.S…  Give our Nova Scotia Sport Hero’s the recognition they deserve. The deadline to nominate individuals or teams to the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame is January 31, 2016. Nomination information and forms are available for download on the NSSHF website, www.nsshf.com.
 
The categories for nomination are athletes/teams and builders. Athletes are individuals that have achieved the highest standards in their sport and have been retired from the highest level for at least three years; builders are individuals that have made or continue to make significant contributions to the sporting community; and teams are groups of men and women who have reached national and international prominence.
 
The Hall of Fame’s objective is to recognize those Nova Scotian’s who have made outstanding accomplishments in sport. The public, sport governing bodies and sport organizations can nominate anyone who they believe fill the criteria and is deserving of such an honour. Nominations are reviewed by a provincial selection panel and committee, made up of outstanding sports minded individuals from all across the province.
 
The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame has been honouring sporting excellence in our province for over 50 years. These sport heroes are brought to life at the Hall of Fame’s facility and museum located in the Halifax Metro Centre, through beautiful exhibits, graphic displays and audio visual presentations.
