Canada Soccer – Media are invited to join Canada Soccer’s new president Steve Reed in his first official media conference in Canada since being elected President of Canada Soccer on 6 May.  Joining Mr. Reed will be Peter Montopoli, who will make a Men’s National Team announcement.
Canada Soccer will honour five retiring Women’s National Team players, as well as Amy Walsh who will be inducted into the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame, at Sunday’s Match.  Media may have an opportunity to speak with the honoured guests at the media conference as well, depending on availability.

Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team
Canada recently made history with back-to-back podium finishes at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games. At the last three major women’s tournaments, Canada finished third at the London 2012 Women’s Olympic Football Tournament, sixth at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015, and third at the Rio 2016 Women’s Olympic Football Tournament.

Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team are the first Canadian team to win back-to-back Summer Olympic medals since 1908, and the first-ever women’s Canadian team.
