SDRCC – Montréal (Québec) – The Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada (SDRCC) is proud to welcome Ms. Linda Cuthbert as Board member. The Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities nominated Ms. Cuthbert, effective March 22, 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Mr. David Bilinsky.

Linda Cuthbert is the founder and principal of a management consulting group. A former international diver, she pursued her involvement in sport in various leadership roles, including as Board member of Commonwealth Games Canada and as President of Diving Canada and of Aquatics Canada. She is currently a member of the Ethics Committee of the Canadian Olympic Committee and a representative of the Americas on the Sport Committee of the Commonwealth Sport Federation.

“It is with great pleasure that I offer my most sincere congratulations to Ms. Cuthbert on her recent nomination,” said the Honourable Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities. “I would also like to take this opportunity to wish her success in her new role. Her extensive experience and involvement in sport, both on and off the field, will be a great asset for the SDRCC, for athletes and for sports communities across Canada. The SDRCC is an integral part of Canada’s world-class sport system and I am confident that Ms. Cuthbert will play an important role, as a Board member, in performing its mission.”

“I am very pleased to welcome Linda to our board”, added David de Vlieger, Chair of the Board of Directors of the SDRCC. “I have known Linda for many years and can attest to the skills and experience she will bring to the table. I believe she is a great addition to an already talented and hard-working group. I would be remiss if I did not also thank David Bilinsky for his contributions – he will be missed and we wish him well.”
