Ringette Canada – Ottawa, Ontario – January 19, 2016 – Montreal Mission remains on top of the National Ringette League (NRL) Elite Eight rankings again this month. The monthly rankings were released today and show very little fluctuation from last month’s rankings. Teams have two months of play left to secure a spot at the NRL Championship tournament which will be held in London, Ontario from April 4-9, 2016.

Montreal (1) split their four games this past month, winning two and dropping two. Cambridge Turbos (2), Edmonton WAM! (3) and Atlantic Attack (4) all picked up three wins and suffered one loss this past month to pick up the second, third and fourth place spots. Gloucester Devils (5) and Richmond Hill Lightning (6) maintain their ranking from last month, with the Devils winning their only game and the Lightning splitting their four games. Calgary RATH (7) also maintain their ranking from last month, winning one and losing two. Ottawa Ice (8) break into the rankings this month at eighth place after winning their only game since last month’s rankings.

Cambridge Turbos currently hold the NRL Championship title after downing Richmond Hill Lightning 6-2 at the 2015 NRL Championship tournament final held in April 2015 in Wood Buffalo, Alberta. This year’s NRL Championship tournament will be held in London, Ontario from April 4-9, 2016.
