National Little League Week Set to Kick-Off June 12th on Parliament Hill
Little League® Baseball Canada – Each year, the Prime Minister of Canada officially recognizes Little League® Baseball Canada by declaring National Little League® Week and acknowledges not only the thousands of young athletes involved with Little League® Baseball Canada, but all of the volunteers that devote their time to the program.
“National Little League® Week is a great way to show off what Little League® does when it comes to developing not just athletes, but citizens,” says Roy Bergerman, President of Little League® Baseball Canada.
“It gives all of the kids in the program, across Canada, a chance to be on the National stage and know that the whole country is celebrating them. While at the same time it’s a National ‘thank you’ to all of our volunteers that make this program happen.”
The festivities will kick off at 1:45 PM, rain or shine, and is open to the public.
About Little League® Baseball Canada: Little League® Baseball Canada is a non-profit organization powered solely by volunteers. It offers programs for children from 4- to 18- years of age, including those with physical or cognitive challenges, in Baseball, Softball and the Challenger® divisions.
