WHAT:  Media availability post FIBA official draw for the men’s Olympic Qualification Tournaments (OQTs).The draw will determine who and where Team Canada plays for a chance to qualify for Rio 2016.  The draw is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET live on https://www.youtube.com/fiba.

OQT INFORMATION:

• The final three OQTs will take place from July 4-10, 2016 in Turin, Italy; Belgrade, Serbia; and Manilla, Philippines
• The winner of each tournament will qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics
• A total of 18 teams will compete in three 6-team tournaments
• Canada and 14 other teams qualified for the OQTs last summer: Angola, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Iran, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Senegal, Serbia and Tunisia
• In line with the final standings of EuroBasket 2015 and the FIBA World Ranking, Latvia, Croatia and Turkey have been invited to complete the 18-team OQT line-ups
