Curling Canada – The world’s best women’s curling teams will gather in Swift Current, Sask., next month to contest the 2016 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship, presented by Meridian Manufacturing.

Media accreditations are now being accepted for the Ford World Women’s,  scheduled for March 19-27 at the Credit Union iplex. Not only will teams be playing for the title of world champion, it’s also the first event at which countries can earn points to qualify for the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

For media requiring credentials, please apply on-line at www.curling.ca/championships/media-accreditation-request-form/, by no later than March 14, 2016. You will be sent a confirmation letter outlining the on-site accreditation procedures. Those requesting credentials should also email a high-resolution mugshot of themselves to media@curling.ca to make the on-site accreditation process easier.

Please note: On-ice photographers will be required to wear black clothing and shoes and restrict themselves to designated shooting areas during the games. There will be no exceptions to this guideline.

For media requiring accommodation, please contact event manager Rob Dewhirst at rdewhirst@curling.ca or call him at 1 (306) 550-7041 by no later than Feb. 26. Accommodation is extremely tight and those requiring rooms are urged to make arrangements as soon as possible.
