Media Accreditation: 2018 Long Track Team Selections in Calgary, January 4-9, 2018
Speed Skating Canada – Calgary, December 12, 2018 – Speed Skating Canada and Calgary’s Olympic Oval are inviting media representatives to apply for accreditation for the 2018 Long Track Team Selections to be held at the Olympic Oval in Calgary, January 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9, 2018.
The competition will feature the best Canadian long track speed skaters all looking to qualify themselves for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
Total quota spots for Canada in each of the events to be held in PyeongChang will be communicated by the International Skating Union (ISU) by the end of 2017.
To be held simultaneously to Canada Cup #2, the events at the 2018 Long Track Team Selections will start at 5 pm (Calgary Time) each day of the competition: Thursday, January 4, for the women’s 3000m and men’s 5000m, Friday, January 5, for the 500m, Saturday, January 6, for the 1500m, Monday, January 8, for the 1000m, and Tuesday, January 9, for the women’s 5000m and men’s 10,000m. Sunday, January 7, will be a day off.

Deadline for application is January 1, 2018.
