Canadian Interuniversity Sport – TORONTO (CIS) – The Laval Rouge et Or (women’s soccer), and reigning champions York Lions (men’s soccer), and McMaster Marauders (women’s rugby) remain atop the CIS national rankings this week.

In women’s soccer, Laval improved its conference record to 4-0-0 this past weekend with a 3-1 win at UQAM. The Rouge et Or visit Montreal (3-0-0) on Friday in a battle of undefeated teams. 

In men’s soccer, York (7-0-0) remained atop the OUA standings with a 2-0 win at home over McMaster (2-3-2), followed by a narrow 2-1 victory in Guelph (3-1-2) won in the 90th minute. The Lions travel to Windsor (3-3-1) Saturday.

In women’s rugby, McMaster (2-0) defeated York 42-13 in its first road game of the season. The Marauders prepare for a first-place showdown on Friday with No. 4 Queen’s (2-0) in a rematch of last season’s CIS championship.
