Canada Snowboard –Canadians qualify in 4th and 11th for Friday morning’s 12 rider final 

Vancouver, BC – Two Canadians have qualified for Women’s Snowboard Big Air Final, with Laurie Blouin (Stoneham, QC) and Spencer O’Brien (Courtenay, BC) grabbing spots in Friday morning’s 12 rider competition.Women’s Slopestyle Silver Medalist Blouin qualified in 4th while O’Brien finished qualifiers in 11th. Brooke Voigt (Fort McMurray, AB) finished in 17th.
Making it’s Olympic debut in PyeongChang, Big Air did not disappoint with several women pushing the progression and style to another level – and the Canadians were no exception. Blouin threw down a couple of Cab Double Underflip 900s while O’Brien completed a couple of clean frontside off the toes 720s, both women’s tricks scoring big points with the judges.

Spencer O’Brien Top Score: 76.75
Women’s Big Air Finals will start on the morning of Friday, February 23 at 9:30 AM (KOR), Thursday February 23 at 4:30 PM PT/7:30 PM ET (CAN).
