Racquetball Canada – WINNIPEG, MB, August 17, 2018 – Tim Landeryou of Calgary and Samuel Murray of Baie-Comean have earned a spot in the men’s doubles semi-final at the World Championships being held in San José, Costa Rica. The tournament runs until August 19. 
Landeryou and Murray went into the elimination round ranked seventh after winning two of three matches in their round robin pool. 
Doubles play got underway today and the Canadians had a great start defeating the tenth ranked team from Venezuela 15-9, 15-6. 
Landeryou and Murray then faced the second seeded team from Argentina who bring a lot of experience to the tournament. However the Canadian team were in full control of the match upsetting the team from Argentina 15-3, 15-8.
The Canadian men play Friday against the third ranked team from USA at 4pm (MST).  
Samuel Murray also played singles today but lost his match to Charlie Pratt of the USA who is seeded 3rd. 
The Canadian women’s doubles team of Fréderique Lambert (Montréal) and Jen Saunders (Winnipeg) is also out of the tournament after a loss to Ecuador today.
Lambert, Saunders and Coby Iwaasa were knocked out of the elimination round in singles yesterday.
