Golf Ontario – Kyrinis leads the Investors Group Ontario Senior Women’s Amateur Championship after 2 rounds with a total of 140 after 2 days. She started off the back nine shooting 2 over par (37) with 3 bogeys and a birdie and rounded out the round 3 under par on the front nine (33) with 3 birdies for a total of (70). The day before, in the first round she also finished with 70.

Kyrinis is optimistic about her lead going into the final day of the Championship, “Anytime you can get a lead going into the final day, its where you want to be … it’s always great to have the lead”.

While Kyrinis had a difficult start to the round she was able to get into a tempo to keep her lead, “Started out a little bit shakey, with two bogeys to start, didn’t quite have the tempo where I wanted it but as the round got in, made a nice birdie on 13, which kind of settled me down. Got a probably unlucky bounce on 14 but you have to be a little bit further right I mean, so kinda fell back with another bogey, but steadied the course. Made some nice pars”

After the second round, Mary Ann Hayward followed in second place with a total of 148, while Terrill Samuel is in third-place after two rounds. The final round will be held starting at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, June 28th, 2018 to determine the Investors Group Ontario Women’s Senior Champion.

The district team winners, as well as the A Flight net winners, were awarded today.  The Sr. District Team Gross was won by the York District team which consists of Judith Kyrinis (Thornhill Club and Granite Golf Club), Marion Reid (Islington Golf Club), Joanne Noble (Weston Golf and Country Club), and Debbie Court (Toronto Golf Club).
