Quidditch Canada – Quidditch teams from across Canada will face off on April 2nd & 3rd in Quidditch Canada’s National Championship

Quidditch Canada’s second National Championships will be held in Kingston, ON next weekend. Featuring 15 teams from Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec, this two-day tournament to determine the best team in Canada will be held at the Kingston 1000 Islands Sportsplex in partnership with Tourism Kingston.

Children and families are welcome to attend this fast-paced and exciting sporting event! Admission is by donation to Quidditch Canada to support the growth of the sport.

The Alberta Clippers and uOttawa GeeGees will both be in attendance. The Clippers are the reigning Western Regional champions, and the GeeGees won the Eastern Regional Championship on February 28th.

Quidditch is a competitive full-contact sport based on the game from J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books. It is played worldwide by over 400 teams, including over 30 from Canada. Quidditch Canada is the Canadian governing body for quidditch, which is played by university, high school, and community teams across the country. Quidditch Canada will be sending a national team to play at the 2016 World Cup in Frankfurt, Germany this July.
