Rowing Canada Aviron – Rowing Canada Aviron is thrilled to announce that the 2019 RCA National Conference will be hosted in Calgary, Alberta at the Hotel Arts from January 24-27, 2019. Calgary is a chic metropolis known for its western hospitality, classic, quirky arts scene and the WinSport Canada Olympic Park – home to the 1988 Winter Olympics.

The 2019 RCA National Conference will offer a variety of sessions with technical focus and others designed to develop leadership soft skills. The intent of the conference is to invest in our best by ensuring the leaders of rowing in Canada are equipped with the tools they need on and off the water to enable our sport to thrive! We will benefit from technical experts who will provide us with the tools for developing successful rowers from grassroots to high performance.

Participants will also benefit from learning about trends and initiatives in Canadian sport that directly impact the rowing community. Session topics, such as the Responsible Coaching Movement, inclusive sport, and abuse and harassment will be front and centre and the take-aways will help us create a safe and sustainable future for rowing in Canada.

The conference will offer something valuable for everyone- coaches, umpires, administrators, regatta organizers and rowers. As always, we will have a number of social events planned including the celebrations of notable members of the Canadian rowing community at the RCA Excellence Awards and the Canadian Rowing Hall of Fame.

We look forward to welcoming and networking with members of our rowing community from January 24th – 27th in Calgary, Alberta!

Stay tuned for registration and conference session details coming in September 2018.
